Washington Surveying & Rating Bureau updates Protecting Class rating for LCFD#2 St.2-3 Evans Road
Effective September 1, 2020
Washington Surveying and Rating Bureau (WSRB) has updated the Protection Class rating for Lewis County Fire District 2’s Fire Station 2-3 on Evans Road.
The improved rating was due to the addition of a structural firefighting engine at the station. We recommend residents that live near Station 2-3 contact their insurance agents to determine the relative effect this updated Protection Class rating will have on their insurance premiums. Effective September 1, 2018; Lewis County Fire District #2 received a Protection Class 6 with a tanker credit.
Lewis County Fire District 2 was also evaluated for WSRB Tender Credit, and it was determined that the community will receive this PC rating credit.
A Protection Class (PC) 6 rating will apply to dwelling and commercial properties located in the community, within 5 road miles of a responding fire station and having standard fire hydrant distribution and water supply. Properties in the community not meeting the above requirements will receive a different PC rating.
